Clarity
(5-2-99)
by David B. Rhaesa

One minute I am certain
That we should see
Almost none of each other
For awhile
And communicate much less
And let time takes it’s course
Leading us each to ourselves
Maybe to each other
But hopefully to happiness

Ten minutes later I am certain
That we should see
More of each other – much more
Facing the discomforts we each feel
And being with each other
In spite of the anxieties of
Wanting and needing different things

And now at this moment
About to take my morning shower
I am only certain of the obvious
Clarity of my total confusion!
Isn’t life grand.
