Space between the Moments
(5-4-99)
by David B. Rhaesa

Listening to John
Watching the Wheels Go Round and Round
Doing my own time
Had just felt useless enough
To check the classifieds for part-time work
I wonder if I’m lucky that I wasn’t competent?
The days drag sometimes
They race sometimes
The world is busy and I’m not
The space between my moments is vast
Leaving eternity and infinity nearly to miss you.
Living is the space between the moments
Maybe I should get a life!
Wouldn’t that be simple.
I think I’ll just do laundry instead.
That will fill some of the space
between the Here and the Now.
Am I really this ethereal on a Tuesday morning?
It usually is at least Thursday before I get to here.
