Manifest Like Dying

Parting's sorrow manifest like dying.
Final parting displaced until
Greed hids my selfishness,
Clinging to ignore it.
Still sorrow, manifest like dying.

Do you wonder why?
Do you feel it?
Is it manifest like dying,
Or just my delusion, here, alone?
They might say that I am crazy,
Thinking this about you,
Thinking this about us,
Thinking this about me,
And I haven't even said,
What I feel.

Do you wonder why I might be crazy?
Do you wonder why I feel cancer?
Do you wonder how I feel sadness?
Or is your wonder tucked away,
Over there, in that box?

Feel it, let it cry, let it by.
Or, else it is manifest like dying.
Overcome it, overcome it, overcome it.
Manifest like dying,
Parting's sorrow is displaced, and
Manifest like dying.

Are you going to the graveside?
I hear the minister speaks well,
And not too long.
It's not too hot and the bugs
Are not out yet.
It should be a pleasant ceremony.
Closed casket, manifest like dying.

Parting's sorrow, manifest like dying.
